Build Quality and Design
For the first look, the Phablet looks cool and sturdy. While holding it in the hands, it is so soft due to the rear soft touch plastic with matte finish. Looking around the device, we found Power buttons and Volume buttons on the right side, 3.5mm Headphone jack on the top and USB port at the bottom of the Phablet.
Inside the removable rear cap, the device has a removable battery, two micro Sim card slots and one microSD card slot. The front bottom of the screen has the 3 capacitive navigation buttons. The handling experience is quite good. No inconvenience in holding and working with the Phablet.
The Display of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a 5.5 inch screen with FHD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Display is made of IPS LCD technology. Notable feature in the Display is the screen density. The device has 401ppi screen density. It means the images and videos will look sharper in the screen. The Picture quality in the screen of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is very high due to the screen density and FHD display.
Hardware Performance
The Device loaded with Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset with Octa-core 2.0Ghz Cortex A-53 CPU and has Power VR G6200 GPU. The RAM has 2GB space and Internal memory varies with two variants of mobile, one with 16Gb and other with 32Gb. The clockspeed also differed based on the Internal memory. For the 16Gb variant, maximum clockspeed is 2.0Ghz and for 32Gb variant it is 2.2Ghz. The Xiaomu RedMi Note 2 is using MIUI 7.0 OS based on Android 5.1, which enhanced the stock android experience to another level.
Battery has 3060mAh capacity which looks good when compared to most of the Smartphones in this price category. This capacity is enough to hold the charge for one day of normal usage. While Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 had MIUI 6.0 custom skin, some issues like battery draining and heating issues were noted. But, after the updated MIUI 7.0 software in the device, no such issues faced.
The day to day performance is good with a 8 core processor and sufficient 2Gb RAM. Multi tasking is a doable thing in this Phablet. Camera Performance
Xiaomi RedMi Note 2 has dual camera feature. The primary rear camera has 13MP with resolution up to 4128 x 3096 pixels and has LED flash. Video quality is stunning with 1080 pixels. The secondary front camera has 5MP with video quality of 720 pixels.
The Picture and Video quality is up to the mark and for 13MP and 5MP cameras, this is above average performance than most of the devices with same cameras.

The Xiaomi RedMi Note 2 is priced at $192.99 in the market at present (Variant : 32Gb ROM with 2.2Ghz Clockspeed). When compared to the specifications, this price is reasonable. The Display quality, Octa-core processor (8 cores) and Battery with 3060 mAh are the highlights of this device. And another added advantage is, Xiaomi is one of the best selling brand in the market and have a good name worldwide for their previous releases.
